ARTO POLO. THE EMERGING FUTURE III.
In the “Arto Polo” mini-series of four paintings, colors and forms have been intentionally simplified. Bright, glowing, gold-plated marketplace symbols are an attempt to establish a dialogue between visual arts and decoration, spheres that are often confused and taken as one and the same. For me, decoration and visual art are completely different places. Decoration presents its quality only by showing the surface, without any intellectual value. In visual art, each recipient can find the quality of work by reading the contained moral, emotional message, or intellectual puzzle hidden somewhere behind the visible surface of the image.
