I’ve been working as a graphic designer for 13+ years. As an emerging artist (started painting in 2020) I combine abstract and figurative elements in my work, using acrylics, ink and fluorescent spray paint.
I grew up in a family where art permeated everyday life. My father (besides being the doctor in a village in Hungary) passionately collected and practiced art, supported talented painters, and organised exhibitions for emerging artists. No wonder the love of art has got planted in me from an early age.

My first works were inspired by the visual landscape of grunge music videos that were popular at the time. I made collages from all sorts of found objects. Rotten pieces of wood, dry beehive, moss, old photographs, rusty metal objects were matched with candle drippings, marbled paint technique, heating coal drawings and various light sources. I started my professional career in finance, however I soon realised that this won’t satisfy my thirst for art and creativity. After a change of career (and continent) I found the joy of creation as a graphic designer. In the last 13+ years, I tried to approach every project–even the smallest ones–using references from the field of art.

During 2020 I started painting portraits using ink, acrylics and fluorescent paint. I enjoy experimenting with the contrast between black ink and vibrant acrylic or fluorescent colours. At the moment I’m interested in faces, facial expressions and the human (mostly male) character. I like exploring and unfolding the layers behind an expression playing with light and shadow. I like to examine and find vulnerability behind strong and confident facade. My aim is to portray strength in personality with a touch of sensibility. My style is influenced by street art, pop culture, graffiti and stencil art.
