- Sustainable Art
Art has been a sort of collective consciousness of the era in which we live. From the depiction of religious figures during their heyday to everyday civilians as aristocracies fell to the large shift to abstract art after the invention of photography.
Now as we are becoming more and more conscious of our impact on our home, many artists have learned to furloughed normal mediums to create interesting mixed media pieces that are much more conscious of the environment.
It seems like the right time to introduce a new but definitely rising category of artworks: sustainable art.
These artworks are not only conscious of the impact they make to the world but also have a unique identity to them since the artists have given themselves the creative license (and challenge) when it comes to the use of materials and what the final result of these choices may be.
