I am a Slovakian graphic designer who was introduced to the world of art through my love for graffiti art. I got into graffiti for the first time in elementary school and it has never ceased to fascinate me. However, I use graffiti art in my work in a different way than one would expect. I like to think of graffiti as a specific social artifact. I create unique assemblages from graffiti waste and transfers them into a new luxurious context. For example, the collection of canvases called 'Mummies' are mostly assemblages I created from graffiti waste transformed into a new form, which brings any style of street art into a new context.
My technique is also peculiar given the fact that I re-use residual materials and traces from other famous artists to create a completely new art piece, reminiscent of another time or culture. My work, however, remains clean, the street chaos and short life are limited by the picture frame as it combines a formal expression with the endangered street art.
