I am a watercolor artist. I was born and raised in Moscow and began studying art at a young age. Following my passion for painting, I attended the prestigious Higher School of Folk Arts in St. Petersburg, where i trained to be a master silk painter. After graduating, I spent several years creating artworks on silk, however, I found that the traditional technique did not further my search for my own style.

Inspired by a group of modern Russian watercolorists, I discovered my enthusiasm for the flowing medium. The possibilities of watercolor – the dynamism and beauty of the iridescence – constantly inspire new paintings. Today, I paint full-time from a home studio located on my terrace, with large windows and lots of natural light. In my free time, I enjoy painting a textile, which I describe as a matter of the soul.

Landscapes of native places and flowers in all their splendor are a constant source of inspiration for me. The character of the floral image, light, and mood of the day at this moment is what I strive to convey in my paintings. But not just to draw inflorescences and leaves, but to convey feelings, impressions, and light – after all, this is a moment! The glare of dew on the leaves, the rhythms of light reflection on the petals, the light haze of fog – this is what makes this moment unique. And, standing still for a second, we can enjoy the moment – feel the light, the wind, the shades of smells around us. With the help of color, I strive to convey the uniqueness of this moment with tonal transitions, bright accents, and the depth of shadows. In the warm season, I often work in the open air, trying to accurately "grab" the moment with a brush.

I am happy to share my art with art lovers all over the world, and TheArtling is an amazing opportunity for this. My paintings are in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, and Russia.

Watercolor is currently my main material for creating paintings. The possibilities of this material, the dynamism, and the beauty of overflow – this is what inspire and help me to convey the idea of the work to the fullest. With each new painting, watercolors are revealed to me from a new side, and I am ready to discover the secrets and possibilities of this material that I have not yet explored.
