Partnership with Ari Kupsus Gallery

Partnership with Ari Kupsus Gallery

The Ari Kupsus Gallery showcases a diverse blend of local and international artists. Their goal at Ari Kupsus gallery is to help promote up and coming Hungarian artists. Each year Ari S Kupsus awards a scholarship to four-six promising students from the Academy of Fine Arts Budapest. These students are then featured in a yearly gallery in which one artist can ‘wow’ Ari S Kupsus and is given the opportunity to do a solo exhibition to show off more of their work. Thanks to this partnership, the online exhibition will display artworks from 3 of their brilliant Hungarian artists: Judit Hamerli, Franciska Szabó and Annamária Óry.

Judit Hamerli is a Hungarian artist who graduated as an engineer from the Obuda University of Technology in 2004. After working for 10 years as an engineer, she decided it was time for a change in profession. To follow her passion, she chose to start studying at the Academy of fine arts in Budapest, where she graduated in 2021. Since graduating, Judit has been able to focus on painting full-time. Judit Hamerli has several different styles of painting, but her most notable one is the photorealistic style, a few of which are showcased in the V4U online exhibition, like that of the artwork shown below.

Franciska Szabó graduated the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts in 2018. She currently works as a teacher at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Her work tends to emphasize the dynamics of lights and shadows. Her work is inspired by the Dia collection of the University which has become useless thanks to technological advancements. Another one of Franciska’s interesting themes includes artwork of streets and construction workers carrying out their daily tasks. You can find more of her artwork like the one displayed below, in the online exhibition.

Annamária Óry is a Hungarian artist who graduated from the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts as a painter in 2006. Her main point of interest is in the intrinsic potentialities of techniques. While investigating these interests she mainly focuses on a subject matter or a genre. The use of a particular technique is usually connected to a corresponding line of thought; thus the analysis of the pictorial problem gives birth to a series of paintings, revolving around the same subject matter. This might be a lot to take in, but you can get a good understanding of her style of art from the piece below and the other artworks that are available in the online exhibition.
